Thoughtlets. LXXII. Duh.

Cherry-picked from the Wall of Banalities just for you:

According to which criteria, and whose, do the good and right believers set themselves apart from the ignorant masses? Most, if not all, of us can claim some particular sliver of expertise, gleaned from years of experience, concerning some shred of knowledge or skill in some particular domain. But none are experts at all things, or even most things. Even rarer are experts about the same things, having the same kind of expertise. Yet we seldom refrain from expressing an opinion on anything and everything that crosses our paths. And it can be said, without controversy, that we’re each right about some things and wrong about others. And we needn’t be good to be right, nor right to be good. And we can’t always tell who is both good and right, yet we most readily believe those we think to be so. And it can be said of each of us that we’re rational about some things, irrational about others, and that neither education nor intelligence make a guarantee of which.
