Check out my new permanent page eloquently entitled My papers ‘ n ‘ stuff.
On this page I post some of my old papers and other works that I think worth a read. Feel free to download and play around with anything that interests you.
My first entry is The Child-First Hypothesis of Language Acquisition wherein I claim that language evolved as a spandrel parasitic on the syntax of bipedal walking.
I’ll probably post another paper tomorrow, a conceptual analysis of the term ‘soil’. I jokingly call it my soil rant, or rant #643. There are many claims to the effect that the earth is losing soil, or that soil is or is not a renewable resource. But these claims hang on what soil is, and the notions of what soil is are surprisingly inconsistent.
